The winners of the offshore and inshore divisions during each season of, “The Fishing Challenge,” win an all expense paid trip (airfare, accommodations and fishing tournament) to the Bahamas to fish, “The Bahamas Ultimate Fishing Challenge.” In the Bahamas, each team will fish on different offshore boats with their original Captains as guests. The “Bahamas Ultimate Challenge” will be held in Bimini, Bahamas. The same rules apply for the Bahamas tournament that exist on the inshore / offshore shows filmed in Tampa Bay, except for the addition of deep dropping with electric reels. Deep dropping methods can only be used if both tournament boats come prepared with the proper equipment. Each fish will have a points system and each fish will be worth a certain amount of points. Each team will have 10 full hours of tournament fishing time available. There will be a penalty of 3 points per minute for a duration of one hour or a total of 180 points deducted from the final score after the ten hours are finished per team. Any team that exceeds the one hour limitation or 180 point deduction will be disqualified. The team with the most points at the end of the day wins. The winning team and their Captain will receive an all expense paid trip (airfare, accommodations and fishing tournament) to Venezuela, South America to fish, “The Fishing Challenge All Stars,” event against the winners of the last Bahamas Ultimate Challenge Season I. There will be only one winning team at the end of the two seasons of The Fishing Challenge. In Venezuela, the final two teams and their original Captains that win the Bahamas Challenge will compete against each other in a one day tournament for Billfish. Each team will travel from Miami and arrive at La Guaira, Venezuela. They will stay at the Best Western Puerto Viejo and fish directly out of the marina at the hotel. Each team will be on a different offshore boat and attempt to catch Billfish for some trophy plaques to be awarded upon returning to the United States. Each different species of Billfish will be worth a certain amount of points and the team with the most points at the end of the day wins, “The Fishing Challenge All Stars,” event. The Venezuela tournament is strictly a catch and release tournament. All I.G.F.A. rules apply. The camera operator on board in every tournament will act as observer, judge and assistant with any questions on rules. Captains that accompany winning contestants can fish along with their team.

Julian
